Khadijah is an active athlete at Smyrna High School and will be graduating in the class of 2013. Her senior portrait photo shoot really shows off her personality and interests. Her enthusiasm is definitely something that we love to work with at Escudero Photography. We’ve worked with student athletes before over the years in our studio, but Khadijah’s wide range of athletic skills made her a unique example of the kind of photos we are able to capture.

The pictures of Khadijah in her cheer uniform are phenomenal. After a call to Smyrna High School’s athletic director, we were given permission to take pictures on the football field, bleachers, and by the goal post. This area could also be used for football players who wanted to show off their physical skills in their senior portraits. One of the best pictures we took of Khadijah is the photo showing off her beautiful toe touch jump.

Another recreational interest of Khadijah’s is playing soccer. Escudero Photography played up her sport by asking her to bring a soccer ball as a prop and we used the net at school to get a close up picture as well. Her liveliness and energy show through in her photographs, which is something that everyone should have in their senior pictures!

Escudero Photography knows that maybe not everyone is an athlete or has interest in sports like Khadijah. That doesn’t mean there aren’t other ways to show off school spirit in your senior portraits. Those who are members of the marching band can take pictures on the field in their uniform, in studio with their instrument, or come up with another way to express their musical talent. For the dramatic students, bring some props or playbills from a school play to show off your theatrical side. Anyone who enjoys art can pose with their masterpieces or even have some pictures taken with a paintbrush in hand. Creative expression is all up to the student getting the pictures taken.
